Sometimes, leggings are the first option that comes to your mind when speaking of comfortable bottoms, but this ideas are going to make you look much more appropriate dressed for the occasion and, of course comfortable festive.
Idea #1: Go for the palazzo cut instead of the stretchy leggings look. The cut on this trousers is wide and long, making you look like you are wearing a beautiful flowy skirt, but still being pants. The best part is that a lot of them come with elastic waist, so you don’t have to sacrifice any plate you want to try.
Here you can get some inspiration not only for your clothes but also for your makeup.
Idea #2: Wear a lovely and roomy dress. This is a great way to look super chic and being able to enjoy a big dinner! You can pair it with thick panty hoses, long stockings or even wear your beloved leggings under the dress (yes, I know you haven’t forgotten those little rascals).
The tunic dresses are the best for whenever you feel bloated or too full, while the A line dresses are fantastic for ladies that doesn’t feel like going all the way bohemian styled
Anyways, if you still prefer to wear leggings, make sure:
- The fabric is thick enough to not show your underwear. As a styling tip, take a flash picture with your phone of your buttocks. Be sure you use your flash, so you will be able to notice if anything is showing thru your leggings.
- To keep the look classy, consider wear them with a long sweater that covers at least under your hip bones.
- The nature of the leggings is to be stretchy, but it is true that you can keep them slim while not totally stretch out and looking like they are painted on you. If the leggings are too tight the whole purpose of having room for eating, moving around and/or sitting for a good amount of time watching TV (or opening presents if you wear them for Christmas) is defeated. Just go up one size and you will notice the difference.
