It gives us hopes to see talented designers joining the movement of reshaping the fashion industry.
Fabiana Milazzo is getting public recognition thanks to the elaborated embroidery creations that some Hollywood A-listers are sporting on various red carpets. Just a look at their amazing gowns gives you a clue of why it is becoming one of the stylists’ favorites (me included!)
But that is not all of what the brand is doing that is beautiful. Giovanka Barbosa, who narrates this short film, shared with me the insights of their mission when the brand came up with «Income for Women», a social project with NGO «Açãdo Moradia» that looks for ways to give their employees in Brazil -mostly women with kids- a way to earn a decent income while bringing their children to their workplace. There, the kids take music and dance lessons while their mothers are doing their jobs, creating the beautiful brand collections.
They also come up with ways of reusing leftover pieces of fabric to create new fabrics and the waste of materials become practically zero.
