Best little known businesses created by Latinas

By Guapologa 06/10/2016

Not because you haven’t seen their products it means they are less than awesome.

As we are still celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, as well as in preparation for the holiday gifting season, I want to share with you some great online shops that has Latino influence and range from traditional crafting to super chic original products. you can click on each business name to be redirect to their websites.

Chus Baby.

One of Victoria’s of her bigger concerns when her babies were born was making sure their little feet were always comfortable. That is why she created and crafted Chus Baby, inspired by the types of shoes worn by our ancestors, like moccasins and espadrilles. These shoes are made with the softest leather, so when your baby wears them, you can feel every part of his/her little feet. You can rest assured your baby will be able to wiggle his/her little toes inside the shoes, as if he/she was not wearing any shoes. And you will also be able to feel their little toes and make sure there will be no unpleasant incidents for your precious baby. They currently offer just one type of shoe, with plans to grow their catalog in the future.

Pressed Intentions.

Sporting smart quotes that range from witty to funny to pop culture inspired, Maura’s hand-made jewelry dishes are one of the most original home decoration items you have ever seen. They are fantastic for keeping your daily use jewelry in one place of course, but also as a perfect coin or key dish that everyone that enters your home can see and admire. They make also a great home-warming party present.

Be fierce every day!  This #jewelry dish is now available in my store! I photographed it with some of my favorite baubles (the jewels you can buy are tagged if you tap the screen, but some are custom made or vintage like my grandmother’s pave diamond ball studs, so you can’t get them anywhere). You can find my store by clicking the link in my profile or by searching for PressedIntentions on #Etsy! #pressedintentions

Lorraine C. Ladish books.

Bilingual author of 18 books, writer, editor, speaker & social media maven, Lorraine is one of the most authentic human beings you will find on Earth. Lorraine was born and raised in Spain and her hispanic heritage permeates in everything she writes, shares in social media or talk about when she is speaking in one  her many talk gigs. While she has a lot of talents -like out-of-this-world yoga positions-, the way she writes about her own experiences and how she documents herself in order to not only share opinions but actual facts is one of my favorite assets when reading her books.

Happy International Women’s Day!

Handmade by Helena.

This Chicago- based Latina entrepreneur projects her personality in her creations: Smart, colorful designs made for women who love to look good while doing everyday activities. Her designs started with a yoga mat holders line and have been expanded to hand bags, travel kit essentials and shoe bags, among others. You can tell that one of the key ingredients of her «secret sauce» must be the keen eye she has when looking for one of a kind fabrics, so each of her creations are unique.

To place orders, you can do via her Facebook page.

Pink + fuchsia + tassel = your next yoga mat holder. Want it?  Each holder is handmade and unique! I say you should get it girl! #handmade #yogamatholder #yogamat #yoga #makersmovement #makersgonnamake
